The excursion begins at the amazing Devrent Valley, the perfect place to admire the famous fairy chimneys! Afterwards we will stop at Zelve Open Air museum, which is a fascinating cave town with religious and secular chambers. We will take a break for lunch in Avanos and then we continue driving to Goreme Open-Air Museum, where are the incredible remains of the rock-hewn churches and Christian settlements which date back hundreds of years! At the end of the tour, we will visit the uncommon rocky Castle at Uchisar, enjoying the panoramic view! (Overnight stay in Cappadocia)
Today the tour starts with a visit to the uncommon and famous underground city, called Kaymakli! Follows the amazing Soganli Valley, an open air museum which includes many cave churches and beautiful frescoes! After that we will visit a desert-like place decorated with amazing mosaics, called Sahinefendi. Next comes the Keslik Monastery, also known as the Monastery of the Archangels. This monastery has retained two churches and its refectory, but unfortunately because of the smoke over the centuries, it is difficult for the frescoes to be revealed. Our last stop will be the Mustafapasa(Sinasos), an old and lovely Greek town, where you can find many examples of the late Greek settlements and architecture. (At the end of the tour you will take an overnight bus to Pamukkale -duration 10 hours-)
Upon arrival, you will be transfered to your hotel in order to check in and leave your luggages. After that we will pick you up to start the tour.
Pamukkale is a city which in Turkish literally means ”cotton castle”. You will understand why, when you arrive at the valley of Meander! The unique travertine small pools above the town were created when warm mineral water cooled and deposited calcium as it cascaded over the cliff edge. We will also visit Hierapolis which is a World Heritage Site! An ancient city which according to Stephanus of Byzantium was given this name because of the large number of temples it contained!
Hierapolis became a healing centre where doctors used its’ thermal springs as a treatment for their patients. Your guide will lead you from the nothern to southern necropolis. On the way you will be able to admire and learn the history about this sacred city by exploring the Basilica theatre, the temple of Apollo, the Roman baths, St Phillip Martyrium and many other parts of the city. (After the end of the tour, your guide will help your transfer to the bus station so you can take the bus, for a short distance ride to Selcuk or Kusadasi, for an overnight stay)
Today we are going to visit these three age-old and impressing cities, that were parts of the Ancient Ionia!
Didyma: Didyma, was the site where was located an ancient Greek sanctuary, which contained a temple and the oracle of Apollo, called Didymaion. There is a view that, the site took its name because of a meeting that took place there, between Zeus and Leto. After their meeting, they gave birth to gods Apollo and Artemis!
Miletus: Miletus was an ancient Greek city that was surrounded by four different harbors! Due to its strategic coastal location, considered to be the healthiest and the wealthiest of all, during the Hellenistic era. Miletus is also the birthplace of the Hagia Sophia’s architect, Isidore!
Priene: Priene was also an ancient Greek city, built overlooking the ocean! Today, after several centuries of changes in the landscape, it is an inland site. There are sanctuaries dedicated to god Zeus, Demeter and most importantly the Temple of Athena!

Explore the ruins of Ephesus by taking a walk at the Celsus Library which was built to store 12,000 scrolls and to serve as a mausoleum for Celsus. Admire the Temple of Hadrian which is one of the best preserved and beautiful structures. The Trajan Fountain, the finest monument in Ephesus and the Great Theater, a magnificent structure. We will continue with the Temple of Artemis, which consirered as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World! A Greek temple that was dedicated to the goddess of the hunt, Artemis. After a break for lunch, follows the House of Virgin Mary. A Catholic shrine, believed to be the House of the Virgin Mary,who accompanied by John the Apostle, came to Ephesus at the end of her life
