Cappadocia is an extraordinary lunar landscape which attracts thousands of tourists with its unique beauty! During the years, erosions has formed caves, clefts, pinnacles, fairy chimneys and sensuous folds, creating an unbelievable scenery! A historical region in Central Anatolia and a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO, surrounded by towns such as Ürgüp, Göreme, Uçhisar, Ortahisar, Avanos and Mustafapaşa. This amazing site, became a religious refuge during the early days of Christianity! At the 4th century, Christians fleeing from the Rome’s persecution, arrived in the area and established monastic communities and dozens underground cities used as hideouts.
The excursion begins at the amazing Devrent Valley, the perfect place to admire the famous fairy chimneys! Afterwards we will stop at Zelve Open Air museum, which is a fascinating cave town with religious and secular chambers. We continue driving to Pasabag, the Monks Valley, to observe all these interesting mushroom shaped pinnacles and after that we will take a break for lunch. Follows Goreme Open-Air Museum, where are the incredible remains of the rock-hewn churches and Christian settlements which date back hundreds of years! At the end of the tour, we will visit the uncommon rocky Castle at Uchisar!
